The Phantom of the Opera
06/09/2014 ~ Broadway
Sierra Boggess, Norm Lewis, Jeremy Hays, Larid Mackintosh.
A fantastic capture in 16:9 widescreen of Sierra's final performance from the front row mezz. No obstruction what so ever - though due to ushers being on the hunt, only includes act one. Sierra is a delight to watch. Her voice is perfection and she makes the best acting choices any Christine had done. Norm is fantastic, he really is. A+

Type: VOB files+smalls
Quality: A
Notes: A strong tour cast lead by a very strong Phantom. Kaitlyn makes a stunning and beautiful Christine. A good capture with no blackouts, minimal washout, and no major obstructions. The lighting of this show is difficult and some scenes turned out darker. One head that is only visible in wide shots. It is filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent and includes curtain call with an obstructed BCEFA speech.

This show is magical, Phillipa is captivating, and the entire ensemble is perfectly quirky. There have been a few changes since Berkeley that tighten up the show a bit and make it ready for Broadway.
A near perfect capture with no washout, no obstruction, and just one very quick dropout. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

Notes: Kara's first as Glinda, Laurel's first as Elphaba and Gene's first back! Due to a mistake on the camera unfortunately most of the highlights are blurry. Not that bad really as you can still make out facial expressions, the clips that aren't blurred are crystal clear! A couple of scattered blackouts due to ushers. New orchestrations on the 2NT. Kara makes a fantastic Glinda. Laurel is amazing (as always) she adds a couple of new riffs! 2 bloopers during "Popular" where Kara had a mic issue and had to re-throw her wand off the stage. Laurel was also a bit late on her DG lines. Video runs for about one and a half hours.

Spring 2011- 2nd National Tour: Laurel Harris (only recording of her), Natalie Daradich (Highlights)Includes "Wizard and I," "Defying Gravity," and "No Good Deed." I cannot listen to this. Laurel (u/s Elphaba) has one of the most nasal/screechy voices I've ever heard, and while she is on pitch, I really do not care for her. Natalie (Glinda) isn't really in this so I can't judge her. Quality is not that great. B.
January 18th, 2008- Los Angeles: Caissie Levy, Megan Hilty
The only word I have to describe this performance is wow. Caissie (Pronounced Kacy Levee; Elphaba) sings the best I have ever ever heard, and her acting is spectactular, portraying one of the most unique/truthful Elphabas ever. Despite the vocal problems she had later in her run, she sounds perfect here. Megan (Glinda) is also in her vocal prime, and never stops getting laughs. To round it out, Marcie Dodd is on as Nessarose, so this cast is just a dream. Quality is good enough to be a proshot. A+.
*Mandy Gonzalez and Katie Rose Clarke (Mandy's last): January 30th, 2011: I've seen Mandy Gonzalez live three times and she is one of my all time favorites. It is a very emotional show and the quality is great. I recommend this show to people who aren't very familiar with Mandy. Katie is a goddess as always. A+.
Jenny Dinoia and Suzie Mathers: June 3rd, 2012: Good quality recording of the new standby/alternate Elphaba on the Asian tour, Jenny. She produces many new jaw-dropping riffs that she never did on Broadway or in Chicago, such as "TAKE a message back," (second) "BRING ME DOOOOOOooooown," "ahahAHAaha," in Defying Gravity among others. Suzie (Glinda) is good too. A. RARE--Limited to no trades!

Idina Menzel's last Wicked ever!
Extreamly rare, NO ONE HAS IT! Full show, lovely quality and sound. Helen is very over dramatic during the whole show and especially during her speach to Idina, which is very over the top (she makes Kerry, who is taking over Idina, very unwanted) but still fun and nice. Great audience and acting. Helen is very good and she gets very emotional during for good, same as Idina. Includes curtin call and goodbye speah. A+
My Master and My Screencap!
Helen Dallimore, Shona White (u/s elphaba), Adam Garica's last ever!
This show is so rare no one has it! This is one of my favrouites!!! Great cast, Helen is amazing in the perfomance, she hits a very high note in no one mourns the wicked and in the finale, she has really improved since the opening. Shona was lovely to watch and adam was extreamly sexy in the performance! Lovley to watch. Great sound and quality, shot from an HD camera from Premium Stalls, with not one head in the way. Crystal clear, it could be a proshot! and best of all it is recorded in widescreen 16:9!! Extreamly rare in this condition.

Great capture of the tour from years ago. Many (if not all of the cast) have never returned to any production of Phantom. Jason and Sarah do a wonderful job in the roles. A

Info: A fun production at Moonlight Amphitheatre with great quality sets and costumes. TJ, Michelle, and Cornelius give fantastic performances. There are two very quick dropouts in act one, but the show is otherwise fully captured. There is no obstruction. There is some occasional washout, especially in wider shots. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, I’m a Believer encore, and playbill scans. A
